• New application assignments view: Program managers can now view all current application assignments in one place, quickly identify gaps and reassign applications to keep reviews on track.
• A new autocomplete address field enables applicants to start typing their address and select the correct result, making forms faster to complete and more accurate.
• Program managers can now screen applications for eligibility manually. You can use automatic eligibility screening, manual eligibility screening or a combination of both. This includes new notifications, content blocks, bulk actions and more.
• Program managers can now choose whether applicants are allowed to select their own application thumbnail via the Advanced tab in the form settings.

Improvements

• The thumbnail picker now only appears when a thumbnail is available to select.
• Managers can choose not to display embedded PDFs in the reviewer view, helping applications load faster.
• The dashboard completion chart now includes invited, resubmitted and resubmission-required applications.
• Managers can add collaborators to applications, even when they do not own the application.

Capture complete, consistent addresses with less applicant effort. Suggestions narrow as users type, making location details quicker to enter and easier to get right. Available on all plans for application and user fields.

Review applicant eligibility manually before applicants continue with their application.

Grant managers can hold applications for review, make eligibility decisions where predefined rules are not enough and notify applicants of the outcome.

This helps ensure reviewers see only eligible applications, reduces unnecessary review work and supports a fair, consistent process for every applicant.

Improvements

• Review tasks can now be deleted from both the assignments list view and the grant manager’s view of an application.
• Multiple improvements were made to the dashboard:
  • A new dashboard chart, Applications with allocations, is now available. It shows the percentage of submitted applications that have funding allocations
  • Dashboard filters now remember users’ last selected values
  • A new completion metric has been added to the dashboard, allowing grant managers to include or exclude archived applications from completion data.
• Applicants have been removed as recipients from the Collaborator invited notification.
• Performance has been improved on the reviewer application page by loading full-size images only when clicked.

New features

• Grant managers can now upload images directly into content blocks, notifications and broadcasts using the editor. Supported file types include PNG, JPG, JPEG and GIF.
• Applicants can now choose which image is displayed as the thumbnail for their application using the thumbnail picker.
• Integration Marketplace now includes an integration to automatically copy an application from one form to another. One common use case is to carry applicant responses from an expression of interest form into the main application form.
• Gallery score sets now support shared scores, allowing reviewers to view scores from other review rounds.

Improvements

• A new API endpoint is available to restore deleted users.
• Address and currency formats are now fully localised to match users’ regional preferences.
• The application tagged webhook now includes the specific tag that triggered the event.
• List view pagination has been improved to increase performance and efficiency.

New features

• A new field type, Lookup, allows grant managers to pull answers from an application into the associated grant report. Values keep their original format and stay in sync when the application is updated.
• Multi-account dashboards are now available from My Good Grants, allowing grant managers to view combined dashboard data across multiple accounts within their chosen data residency region. Managers can also resize charts, configure titles and descriptions, and adjust display settings such as labels.

• Several updates have been made to the dashboard:
  • Two cumulative trend charts showing submitted applications and total applications over time
  • A dashboard chart for user registrations
  • A new icon is displayed for charts with no results
• Three new languages have been added to the DeepL integration: Thai, Hebrew and Vietnamese. A new tag trigger is also available.

Automatically pull answers from an application into a grant report using lookup fields.

Field value formats remain the same and kept in sync if the application is updated, reducing manual work, avoiding human error and keeping reports consistent with the original application.

Available on Enterprise plans, program owners can now assign applications and grant reports to designated grant managers, with access automatically aligned to the opportunities and funding streams they oversee.

This reduces operational overload, limits unnecessary access to sensitive data, and supports clear, auditable decision-making.

Program owners and administrators retain complete oversight and reporting across the broader program.

• Grant managers can now require reviewers to leave a comment when scoring applications in all reviewing modes. This option was previously available only for Scoring.

• When creating a PDF from a document template, users can now choose whether the file should be generated as an accessible PDF.
• Accessibility improvements:
  • Labelled text editor fields to enhance accessibility for the chapter and category dropdowns on the application form
  • Improved compatibility of the colour picker with Windows high contrast mode.

• A new data residency region is now available in the United Arab Emirates. This brings the total number of supported regions to six.
• Tables can now be used in multi-line text fields, allowing applicants, reviewers and grant managers to format content in a structured layout. Ideal for review panels and other tabled content.
• A new API endpoint is now available to delete review tasks, allowing grant managers to remove tasks that are no longer required or were created in error.

Improvements

• AI fields now apply a default model automatically, simplifying configuration steps.
• Keyboard navigation has been improved across multiple areas, including the user profile colour selector, tag input on the manager view, and several other elements that couldn’t be reached by keyboard tab.
• Allocation payments now have unique, direct links, supporting easier integration with accounting platforms such as Xero.
• Guest voting has been removed to improve voting integrity. Guests can still view the voting page but must sign in or register to vote.
• Grant reporting events are now recorded in the audit log.
• A form filter has been added to the Manage duplicates view.
• Remaining instances of the legacy editor have been replaced with the new text editor in funding form descriptions, grant status descriptions, notification descriptions, and field hint and help text.

• Good Grants AI tools are now available—an optional, privacy-first set of AI capabilities built to help grantmakers work more efficiently and more equitably, at scale. The first feature, a new AI field type, enables grant managers and program admins to pose natural-language questions and receive immediate, context-specific insights about resources attached to applications.
• A new API endpoint has been added to allow programmatic field creation.

Improvements

• A new score set setting allows reviewers to view and score applications grouped by category, with submissions shown in random order within each group.
• The broadcast review and recipient views have been updated for clarity. Functionality remains unchanged, but elements have been rearranged and the recipient list moved to a modal to improve future usability.
• The grant report submitted webhook payload now includes the application slug.
• We updated two text labels on the voting page to improve clarity when only one vote is allowed.

New features

• PDFs generated in Good Grants, including manager and applicant PDFs, are now accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508 and EN 301 549 accessibility standards.
• Grant managers can now define a minimum password length for users on their account. Feature available on Enterprise accounts.
• Armenian has been added to the list of supported languages, bringing the total number of natively translated languages to 46.

Improvements

• To simplify configuration, a field dropdown is now shown when setting up an integration in the Integration marketplace.

New features

• Grant managers can now archive forms that are no longer in use. Once a form is archived, it’s removed from the main view, but any applications linked to it remain accessible. Archived forms are inactive, meaning they can no longer be edited, nor can review stages or grant reports be triggered from them.

Improvements

• Password and email address changes have been streamlined on the user profile page. A “Forgot password?” link is also now available, particularly useful for users signed in via SAML.
• When API collaboration is enabled, any file updates made through the API, such as single file uploads or changes to attachment fields, now appear instantly to users editing the submission.
• Tray settings have been removed from the theme settings menu to simplify the configuration experience.

New features

• The dashboard has been redesigned to offer faster access to key metrics and improved configurability for grant managers. The previous version remains accessible at /dashboard-legacy.
• A user agreement content block can now be added to the registration form, requiring applicants to accept the terms before completing registration.
• Albanian has been added to Good Grants as a supported language, bringing the total to 45.
• Individual columns in table fields can now be marked as required, offering more granular control over application completion.
• New merge fields allow applicant name and email to be included in notifications, providing more options for personalisation.
• Applicants can now select their preferred video thumbnail, generated automatically during transcoding (one every 60 seconds), for use in list view previews.

Improvements

• Bulk actions to invite applicants are now available in the Manage applications and Users list views.
• The content block editor has been updated with a full-width text field for easier editing.
• The user agreement modal has been widened to better support formatted content such as tables.
• Status fields have been renamed across the platform to indicate whether they belong to application, review, eligibility, plagiarism and more.

• We’ve updated our text editor, which provides grant managers with increased control over how your content looks, without using Markdown formatting. All the usual text-formatting options are available, along with some time-saving enhancements, like the ability to add and resize images directly.
• New integrations are now available:
  • Australian Business Register. Grant managers can retrieve verified data on registered Australian businesses to validate applicant status and enrich application data.
  • Charity Commission for England and Wales. Available on Enterprise plans, grant organisations can now integrate with the Charity Commission to verify charity numbers in real time while applicants are completing the application form. Depending on how fields are mapped during setup, additional charity details can also be pulled in to enrich the application. #timesaver

• A tax rate mapping system has been implemented to align tax rates in Good Grants with those in external platforms such as Xero.

With a simple checkbox in the application form settings, grant managers on Enterprise plans can enable collaboration, allowing applicants and grantees to invite team members to assist with their application or grant report.

• Submission collaboration is now available for Enterprise accounts, providing a secure method for individual applicants and grantees to work together in real-time on a single application or grant report, without sharing login details.
• Voting page category counters have been added for reviewers, providing a visual indicator of which categories they have voted for already and how many times.
• Two new API endpoints—List review tasks and Get review task—are now available, along with webhooks for Review task created and Review task submitted.

A review stage can now be launched in five different ways: manually by the grant manager, during application submission, through another review stage, through API, or by the applicant.

• API endpoints received several improvements:
  • The endpoints for “list chapter” and “get chapter” now include chapter manager as an object, along with full name and slug to allow programmatic interaction.

• When creating reviewing panels, a new message displays to let users know that only a selection of reviewers is shown to help in programs with large review panels.
  
• We’ve simplified the error message when an applicant submits an incomplete application. Errors are now highlighted by tabs and fields. 
• On the category view (Settings > Applications > Categories), the category name column is now sticky, showing even on smaller screens or if the browser width is reduced.  
• A view-only reviewing round has been updated to better clarify applications can only be seen and not reviewed in this mode. 
• New season functionality has been improved for clarity and ease. 
• The following accessibility improvements have been made:
  • The user’s profile at the top right has been classified as a button to help screen readers clarify its purpose.
  • The header image link back to the home page on Applications > My applications has been removed for better user experience for keyboard and tab users. 
  • Keyboard focus on the advanced search button and active menu links have been improved for visibility.  
• All new Good Grants accounts now come with a default role for a lead reviewer. This role has slightly higher permissions than a normal reviewer allowing them to see a combined total score from all reviewers for each application.
• To improve usability, the button colours for Action flow have been updated to reflect the traffic light system. The proceed action is green and the stop action is red, helping to avoid any confusion with conflicting theme colours.

New features

• The leaderboard now shows attachment thumbnails for applications, making it easier to distinguish between applications in a list format. 
• We now have an API available for Good Grants. View the API documentation here.

Improvements

• We added a warning message that appears when an option for an optional field is deleted. This is to let you know that some applicants may have selected the option you’re about to delete.
• The following review flow improvements were made:
  • Previously action flow required both a proceed action button and a stop action button (e.g “submit report” and “do not submit report”). Now the stop action button can be hidden and users can only see the proceed action button.
  • When users click the stop action button, the fields do not have to be completed to finalise the action. We have now added an option to validate fields on the stop action so all fields must be completed before submission.
  • Review flow notifications have two new merge fields: applicant name and applicant email address.
• Notifications now must have content in both the email and SMS body to prevent send errors.
• The following accessibility improvements were made:
  • Update to the flag selector for phone fields to make it compliant with accessibility guidelines.
  • A new black outline around any element in focus for improved keyboard navigation.
• Contracts now have a signature panel and the user’s IP address and email address have been added.
• Bulk resubmission is now possible. Previously, resubmission could only be triggered for one entry at a time. Now, resubmission can be triggered for up to 100 entries at once. 

New features

• A faster method for communicating with a specific panel of reviewers has been added to the Panels view. Simply go to Reviewing > Panels and then click Notify reviewers in the action menu (the three dots).

Improvements

• We’ve used April to make several optimisations and performance improvements around the system. Including improvements to conditional fields, our Salesforce integration, exports and search functionality. As well as a few usability and visual improvements.

New features

• The Top Pick review mode now has a live progress bar to track picks in real-time.
• Two new languages have been added—Danish and Norwegian, bringing our total number of supported languages to 29.

• The following API improvements were made: 
  • The filter “archived” was added as an option for the list entries endpoint.
  • When a change is made via the API, the audit log now displays the user as “API User” for easier troubleshooting.
• We updated the country list to reflect a political change in the name for the Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of North Macedonia.
• The error message when an applicant attempts to submit an application in an inactive category has been improved for clarity.
• We added placeholder text to the password fields to make the 12-character minimum clearer.  

New features

• You can now create contracts for applicants, who can sign by typing their name or use their mouse or trackpad to draw their signature. The contracts are saved as PDF files and recorded with a time stamp on the user’s profile. Merge fields can be added to personalise them, such as the applicant’s name, the name of the application and category. Signed contracts will show up in the applicant’s user profile.
• Merge fields are now also available for content blocks. Available merge fields for a specific content block can be seen under the content box. 

Improvements

• On the form editor, the ‘add’ option for chapters and categories is now positioned next to the edit option.
• A new WCAG accessibility update was made to improve the cookies banner display for keyboard users. 
• The Broadcast email review page now displays the number of emails sent and if there were any email delivery failures.
• There are three new interface text change options. 
• A 20-second timer has been added to users with SSO login to help with password issues.
• There is an updated display message to let applicants know if their internet connection was lost during file upload. 

New features

• Our video player now supports captions. We’ve added new controls that allow applicants to upload a .vtt captions file to accompany their video. Once added, these captions display when a video is played and can be seen by reviewers, program managers and applicants. 
• A new trigger has been added to our automatic tagging feature. The new ‘assignment completed’ trigger automatically tags an application when a reviewer scores an application and the status changes from in progress to complete. This can enable notification triggers and enable applications to be moved automatically from one reviewing round to the next.

• The application form builder has received new improvements:
• New drop-down field format: You can now drag and drop the order of a drop-down list field. Also, the value of each list item is now locked to prevent unintended changes.
• Category configuration: You can now add, edit and delete categories without leaving the application form.
• There is a new currency field type that automatically preselects local currency, adds the currency symbol and applies appropriate formatting. 
• There are two new endpoints to the API:
• Tag entry endpoint to enable adding and removing tags via the API.
• Orders endpoint to provide access to any payment, billings or orders via the API.
• The gallery score set now allows you to choose between the original masonry gallery layout (original photo proportions) or a new square layout (images cropped to a square) to display in a grid. 
• You can now lock categories on submitted applications, preventing applicants from changing categories after submission.
• Merge fields are now included in Broadcasts, allowing you to personalise your communications sent from the platform.

Improvements

• In notification and Broadcast settings, the sender address field has been replaced by a reply-to email field to improve email deliverability.
• We added new rule possibilities for checkboxes in conditional fields: “is checked” and “is not checked”. 
• There is a new contributor field prompt that lets users know they need to create contributor fields if there are none on the application form.
• Several improvements have been made to comply with WCAG 2.1 guidelines, such as: 
• There is now a hover colour on menu items that have keyboard focus and we added role=”button” to menu items that expand to assist users with screenreaders.
• All status messages like active search filters in list views and the “Display 1 – x of x” message have been given the role of “status” to assist users with screenreaders.
• We updated the colour of the search filters to make them more prominent.
• The file type .avi is now supported for uploads in the application field types.

• There is now a “get file endpoint” that returns file information such as size, path, extension, transcoded file links and more. Also supports video playback from videos originally hosted on Good Grants.

• In cases where applications are locked once submitted, we’ve made it more obvious that applicants cannot go back and edit.
• Category descriptions and images are now displayed with sub-category information together on the application form, removing any need for replicating content.

• It’s now possible for program managers to legally bypass user preferences when sending notifications in compliance with GDPR.

• You can now sort by values of Fields added to the Manage Applications list view. #timesaver

• Programs can now request .srt files in the Attachment tab of the application form, allowing applicants to submit captions or subtitles with any video submissions.

• The following changes have been made to the cookie banner:
• The footer now contains a link to activate the cookie banner, allowing users the ability to adjust their preferences at any point in time.
• All buttons in the banner are now the same colour. No difference in priority or importance is implied.
• Tooltips for each option in the cookie banner are now provided and allow users the ability to see further information about each option.
• The following usability improvements have been made in review panels:
• Searches without results will show the message “nothing found”.
• A small animation has been added to the reviewer name when you add a new reviewer to a Panel.
• To enhance security in your account, the required password length in user profiles has increased to 12 characters.
